Key Responsibilities:
- Ultrasound Imaging: Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations across a range of specialties including obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging.
- Patient Care: Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout the imaging process, addressing any concerns they may have.
- Image Interpretation: Provide preliminary findings to referring physicians and contribute to accurate diagnoses.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document procedures and maintain detailed patient records.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HCPC Registered Sonographer: Must hold a valid sonography qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in Sonography: Proven experience in a sonographer role within a clinical setting is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating ultrasound equipment and conducting various types of scans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
