Are you a dedicated Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) seeking a fulfilling role in North West England? London Healthcare Locums is looking for experienced ODPs to join our team and deliver exceptional care across North West England, including Manchester, Liverpool, and Preston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Preparation: Prepare operating theatres, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning correctly.
- Anaesthetic Support: Assist anesthetists in the safe administration of anesthesia, monitoring patients’ vital signs throughout procedures.
- Surgical Assistance: Support surgeons during operations by ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and supplies.
- Recovery Room Care: Provide post-operative care to patients in the recovery area, ensuring they are stable and comfortable.
- Emergency Response: React swiftly to any complications during surgery, providing critical support as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HCPC Registered ODP: Must hold a valid ODP qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience in ODP Role: Proven experience in an ODP role within a theatre setting is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of surgical equipment and procedures, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the surgical team and patients.
