Key Responsibilities:
- Critical Patient Care: Deliver expert nursing care to patients in Intensive Therapy Units, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Patient Monitoring: Conduct thorough and continuous monitoring of patients’ health status, promptly addressing any critical changes.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with healthcare professionals across various disciplines to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Equipment Proficiency: Skillfully manage and operate advanced medical equipment essential for patient support and treatment.
- Family Engagement: Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients’ families, addressing concerns and providing updates on patient conditions.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain detailed and precise medical records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN): Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in an ITU or equivalent critical care environment.
- Certifications: Certifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care Nursing are preferred.
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in critical care procedures and use of specialized medical equipment.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adapt to various clinical settings and shift patterns.
