London Healthcare Locums is seeking experienced ITU Nurses to join our exceptional team delivering high-quality critical care across London’s renowned healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit, utilizing advanced nursing skills and clinical knowledge.
- Monitoring and Assessment: Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and medical status, promptly identifying and responding to changes in condition.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, specialists, and support staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Medical Equipment Management: Operate and maintain complex medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitoring devices with precision and care.
- Family Support and Communication: Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients’ families, explaining treatment plans and progress effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all legal and professional standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN): Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience working in an Intensive Therapy Unit or similar critical care setting.
- Certifications: Current certifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Critical Care Nursing are highly desirable.
- Clinical Skills: Proficient in using advanced medical equipment and administering complex treatments.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
