Are you a skilled Scrub Nurse looking for a rewarding position in Devon and Cornwall? London Healthcare Locums is seeking experienced Scrub Nurses to join our team and provide outstanding care across Devon and Cornwall, including Exeter, Plymouth, and Truro.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Assistance: Prepare and manage the surgical environment, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Instrument Handling: Provide instruments and supplies to the surgeon during operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Patient Preparation: Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
- Intraoperative Care: Monitor patients’ conditions during surgery and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Postoperative Care: Assist in the safe transfer of patients to the recovery area and ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- NMC Registered Nurse (Scrub): Must hold a valid nursing qualification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Experience in Scrub Nursing: Proven experience in a scrub nurse role within a theatre setting is essential.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with the surgical team and patients.
