Are you a skilled Theatre Nurse looking for a rewarding position in Devon and Cornwall? London Healthcare Locums is seeking experienced Theatre Nurses to join our team and provide outstanding care across Devon and Cornwall, including Exeter, Plymouth, and Truro.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and sterile.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for surgery, including skin preparation and draping.
- Instrument Handling: Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring their proper use and disposal.
- Anesthetic Support: Assist anesthetists during procedures, monitoring patients’ vital signs and responding to emergencies.
- Recovery Room: Provide post-operative care in the recovery room, monitoring patients’ recovery and managing any complications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- NMC Registered Nurse (Theatre): Must hold a valid nursing qualification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Experience in Theatre Nursing: Proven experience in a theatre setting is essential.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with the surgical team and patients.
