Key Responsibilities:
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care: Provide specialized psychiatric care and support to children and adolescents with mental health conditions.
- Patient Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop care plans, and monitor young patients’ progress.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to mental health crises among young people, offering appropriate interventions and support.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Family Support: Provide counseling, education, and support to families, helping them understand and manage their child’s mental health condition.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- NMC Registered Nurse: Must hold a valid nursing qualification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
- Experience in CAMHS Nursing: Previous experience in child and adolescent mental health nursing is essential.
- Compassionate Care: Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to working with young patients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with children, adolescents, families, and the healthcare team.
