Key Responsibilities:
- Neonatal Intensive Care: Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill or premature newborns in the NICU, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor vital signs and use advanced medical equipment to support the fragile health of neonates.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with neonatologists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive neonatal care.
- Family Support: Offer compassionate guidance and support to the families of newborns, keeping them informed and involved in care decisions.
- Record Management: Maintain meticulous and accurate records of each infant’s care, progress, and treatment plans.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- NMC Registered Nurse: Must hold a valid nursing qualification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
- Experience in NICU: Previous experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in using specialized neonatal equipment and technology.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support families and collaborate with healthcare teams.
