Key Responsibilities:
- Specialized Patient Care: Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients in ITU settings, adhering to the highest clinical standards.
- Continuous Assessment: Monitor and evaluate patient conditions meticulously, implementing appropriate interventions promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to formulate and execute comprehensive care plans.
- Equipment Expertise: Operate and manage advanced life-support and monitoring equipment with proficiency and care.
- Family Engagement: Provide supportive and informative communication to patients’ families, facilitating understanding and comfort.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN): Current and valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in an ITU or similar critical care environment.
- Certifications: Possession of Advanced Life Support (ALS) and other relevant critical care certifications is preferred.
- Clinical Competence: Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures and the use of complex medical equipment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
