Key Responsibilities:
- Expert Patient Care: Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within ITU settings, ensuring adherence to best practice standards.
- Continuous Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor patient conditions, administering interventions and treatments as necessary.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate effectively with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Equipment Management: Competently operate and troubleshoot complex life-support and monitoring equipment.
- Emotional Support: Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Clinical Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN): Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Intensive Care or a related critical care setting.
- Certifications: Holding Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and additional critical care qualifications is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced patient monitoring and life-support systems.
- Communication Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care.
- Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
